Eligibility details for the July CTET 2020 exam
Primary stage (class I-V)
- Upper secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% of grades and passed or appearing in the last year of the 2-year Diploma in Primary Education (by any known name) OR
- Upper secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% of grades and passed or appearing in the last year of the 2-year Diploma in Primary Education (by any known name), according to the NCTE (Recognition Rules and Procedures), Regulation, 2002 OR
- High school (or its equivalent) with at least 50% of grades and passed or appearing in the last year of the 4-year Primary Education Degree (B.El.Ed). OR
- High school (or its equivalent) with at least 50% of grades and passed or appearing in the last year of the 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education). OR
- Graduation and approved or appearing in the last year of the two year Diploma in Primary Education.
Secondary stage (class VI-VIII)
- Graduation and approved or appearing in the last year of the 2 year Diploma in Primary Education (by any known name). OR
- Graduation with at least 50% of grades and approved or appearing in Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) of 1 year. OR
- Graduation with at least 45% of qualifications and approved or appearing in the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) of 1 year, in accordance with the NCTE Regulations (Rules and Recognition Procedures) issued from time to time. OR
- High school (or its equivalent) with at least 50% of grades and passed or appearing in the last year of Bachelor of Primary Education 4 years (B.El.Ed). OR
- Upper secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% of grades and passed or appearing in the last year of 4 years B.A / B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed / B.Sc.Ed. OR
- Graduation with at least 50% of grades and passed or appearing in 1 year B.Ed. (Special education).
